Custom Portraits

What can Paws to Portraits paint?

All the Paws to Portraits artists are classically trained and have the ability to paint any subject, including people.  However, we are the pet portrait specialists and have painted hundreds of different animals from horses to falcons.  Pets are our passion.

Can I have more than one pet per painting?

Yes you can.  Additional subjects have an extra cost of 10% per subject, please select the number of subjects when you’re painting is commissioned.

Can I add multiple photos together to make one painting?

Yes you can. That is the fantastic thing about custom hand painting.  If you wish to have 2 photos combined, send the photos in with instructions and we will do our very best to artistically combine your photos.

How big can my painting be?

If size matters to you we can make your painting big.  The sizes we have picked are the most popular and aesthetically pleasing.  If you don't see the size you want please contact us at Paws@pawstoportraits.com and we can discuss a custom size for you.  Please see our size guide for more information here

What photos work best?

A good photo will make a great portrait.  Try and send a photo that shows the features of your pet, the higher the detail level the more detail we can include in our art work.  If the photo is too small or too difficult to see we will contact you and let you know.  If we are unable to produce a perfect portrait, we will send you a full refund.

What materials do you paint with?

We only use the finest quality materials. We use Windsor and Newton paints and museum quality canvas 400 GSM and above.  Our paintings are made to last.

It’s my dad’s Birthday in 9 days, can you have my painting finished in time?

Quality painting takes time and we never want to disappoint.  If you are in a hurry why not get one of our great gift certificates and present this as your gift. The great thing about it is the person will get 2 gifts, one when you give them the certificate and one when their very own commissioned art work arrives.

Can I cancel my order?

Yes, this is possible as long as we have not commenced painting.  If you contact us at paws@pawstoportraits.com we can give you a full refund.  Once we have started painting unfortunately we will not be able to provide a refund.

What if I don’t like my painting?

We have a 100% satisfaction guarantee.  We will send you a final proof when we have finished the painting.  You  are then able to check the proof and make any changes if necessary.  We only ship when you are completely happy.
